Thesis supervision
Research is a team sport.
Southbeach EdTech Publishing is the distributor of ScolarBench, a platform for thesis and research supervision for master’s students, PhD students, researchers and educators throughout the research process.
The platform helps structure ideas, literature, feedback, progress and publication preparation.
Why
More structure in a complex process
Research is often fragmented. Ideas are stored in separate documents, feedback sits in email threads, literature is kept elsewhere and progress is discussed in separate meetings.
A research platform brings these parts together in one environment. This makes it easier to stay organized, plan next steps and keep supervision focused.

Features
From idea to research plan
Support in turning a first idea into a clear research question, objective, scope and research plan.
Organize literature
Collect articles, notes and insights in one place. Make relationships visible between sources, themes and research questions.
Central feedback
Feedback from supervisors, teachers or colleagues remains connected to the right part of the research.
Visible progress
Show which steps are completed, which parts need attention and what the next meeting should focus on.
Support the writing process
Support chapters, argumentation, drafts, revisions and improvement points.
Publication preparation
For researchers and PhD students: publication preparation, journal matching, scope checks and an overview of requirements.
Who is it for?
Master’s students
For theses, research proposals and graduation projects.
PhD students
For long-running research processes, publications and supervision.
Researchers
For ideas, papers, sources, analyses and publication plans.
Educators and supervisors
For supervising larger numbers of students or research projects.
Supervision at scale
Good supervision depends on timing, context and overview. The platform makes supervision more concrete by breaking research into clear steps.
For educational institutions, this means better oversight of theses, research projects and PhD programs, without making everything dependent on loose documents and manual progress lists.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What does a research platform do?
It brings research ideas, literature, feedback, progress and publication preparation together in one work environment. Instead of separate documents, email threads and spreadsheets, the student works in one environment where the supervisor can follow along.
Who is ScolarBench for?
For master’s students writing a thesis, PhD students working on long-term research projects, researchers working toward publication, and supervisors and programs that support these groups.
Why is research called a team sport?
Research rarely happens alone. Supervisors, second readers, co-authors, fellow students and sometimes external clients are involved. The platform makes visible who contributed what and where the process stands.
Does it help with larger numbers of students?
Yes, that is the idea. When a supervisor guides many theses at the same time, much of the work is maintaining oversight. Because progress and feedback are visible per student, attention can go to the students who need it most.
Does it replace the supervisor?
No. The platform structures the process and makes progress visible. Academic judgment and the supervisory relationship remain with the supervisor.
Who owns the research material?
The institution and researcher retain ownership of their material. Agreements about access, export and deletion are recorded in the data processing agreement with the institution.
Can it run alongside our existing systems?
Usually yes. During the initial consultation, we discuss which systems you use for literature, storage and assessment and how the platform can fit alongside them.
