Which solutions does Southbeach EdTech Publishing offer?
Four fixed solutions and one custom track: UpGrade for grading written tests and assignments, the SimplifiedIQ platform for digital assessment with proctoring, a Voice AI platform for oral assessment and practice conversations, and ScolarBench for thesis and research supervision. What is the difference between written, digital and oral assessment within this offer?
Written assessment is about grading answers and assignments that have already been completed. Digital assessment is about administering tests in a secure online environment, including proctoring and certification. Oral assessment is about spoken interaction: instruction, practice and oral assessment through Voice AI.
Who are the solutions for?
For secondary schools, vocational education, universities of applied sciences, universities and research groups. The digital assessment platform is also used by employers, certification bodies, training providers and compliance departments that need documented, traceable assessment results.
Does the teacher remain responsible when AI supports grading?
Yes. The AI proposes an assessment and feedback; the teacher reviews, adjusts and finalizes it. No grade is finalized without teacher review.
How does Southbeach EdTech Publishing handle privacy and GDPR?
The roles around personal data depend on the product and service. Where Southbeach processes personal data on behalf of an educational institution, Southbeach acts as processor and the arrangements are documented in a data processing agreement. For its own website, contact and administrative data, Southbeach may act as controller. The full explanation is available in the privacy statement.
Are education data used to train AI models?
Customer data are not used to train our general AI models. For external AI services, the applicable data-use terms are those agreed with the relevant provider. During the demo, ask for the current data processing agreement and subprocessor list for the specific setup.
Can a solution connect to our LMS?
Integrations are assessed per situation. During the initial consultation, we discuss which systems you use, what data need to be exchanged and what is technically and organizationally feasible.
How does implementation work?
In four steps: an exploratory conversation about process and target group, a demo with your own material, a pilot with a limited group of teachers or students, and then rollout with instruction and support. The timeline depends on the scope as well as your procurement and privacy procedures.
Which languages are available?
This website is available in Dutch and English. Language support within each platform differs by product and will be discussed during the exploratory conversation.
What does it cost?
