FAQ

FAQ

What does a research platform do?

It brings research ideas, literature, feedback, progress and publication preparation together in one workflow.

Who is ScolarBench for?

For master’s students writing a thesis, PhD students in longer research trajectories, researchers working toward publication, and the supervisors and programs supporting them.

Why is research a team sport?

Research rarely happens alone. Supervisors, second readers, co-authors, fellow students and external partners may all be involved.

Does it help with larger numbers of students?

Yes. When a supervisor works with many thesis students at the same time, overview becomes the bottleneck. The platform makes progress and feedback visible per student.

Does it replace the supervisor?

No. The platform structures the process and makes progress visible. The academic judgement and supervision relationship remain with the supervisor.

Who owns the research material?

The institution and researcher remain owner of their material. Access, export and deletion are agreed in the data processing agreement.

Can it run alongside existing systems?

Usually yes. During the exploration we discuss the systems used for literature, storage and assessment.
